Dr. Pan is a licensed clinical psychologist and the director of Appletree Psychological Services. Her practice includes emotional, behavioral, and personality issues in adolescents and adults, anxiety, depression, self-injurious behaviors, interpersonal relationships, stress management, anger management, relaxation skills, and psychological testing including IQ and personality tests. She provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
Dr. Pan is also specialized in treating Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and has been helping clients who suffer from personal injuries including car accidents, dog bites, medical malpractice, etc. In addition, she works with personal injury attorneys and testifies in court as an expert witness for traumatized clients.
Dr. Pan’s treatment approach is mainly psychodynamic and systems-oriented. She also suggests and integrates cognitive behavioral therapy tools in her clinical practice.
Dr. Pan provides specific training and workshops including Effective Learning for high school students, Memory training for adults and elderly, and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) training.
Dr. Pan is very much aware of the multicultural issues and acculturation difficulties among new immigrants, especially in the Asian population.
Dr. Pan obtained her B.S. in Psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She obtained her masters degree and doctoral degree in clinical psychology at California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Pan also received a two-year intensive postdoc training in psychoanalysis at New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. Her practice is relocated to the Bay Area from Los Angeles where she practiced as a clinical psychologist. She is also the former director of adolescent cyber addiction recovery program at Acro Consultants and the president of the Chinese American Human Services Association.
Dr. Pan is a member of the American Psychological Association and California Psychological Association. She is a also a member and supervisor at the China American Psychoanalytic Alliance.
Dr. Pan is fluent in Mandarin and understands Cantonese.
